The Business Women of the Year (BWOTY) recognizes a distinguished community
woman or women who have demonstrated leadership and commitment to achieving
equity for women in all aspects of the workplace. This annual event celebrates
the accomplishments of exceptional women. The hallmarks of the recipients are
their efforts to help women advance personally, professionally and politically.
The BWOTY Committee establishes the criteria for selection, develops flyers and media
announcements, selects individual(s) from received nominations, and plan program
and event highlights. This committee task is quite intense, yet possibly one of
the most rewarding, professional events within our organization and the county.
The committee is representative of true teamwork and partnership of our members;
as an added benefit, there are many repeat committee members, adding continuity
